The Wallee M is a sleek, attractive, and easy-to-use modular system for mounting your iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, or Samsung Galaxy S III on nearly any wall. Like the full-sized iPad Wallee system, the Wallee M isn't just for wall mounting either?there are optional car and desktop mounts you can buy separately. Its clever magnetic action makes it quick and easy to attach or detach, and also makes for a cool floating illusion. If you have one of those aforementioned devices, Wallee is a top solution. If not, check out the lower-quality, but more universal Dockem Koala Mount.

Design and Setup
The centerpiece of the Wallee M system is the snap on case, available in black or white for the iPhone 4/4S, iPhone 5, Galaxy Nexus, and Galaxy S III. Each case costs the same $29.95 (direct) and is made from a stiff plastic with a rubberized, soft-touch finish. I tested the iPhone 4S model, which feels like a high-end case crafted from a single sturdy piece of plastic. The only distinguishing feature of the Wallee M cases is a thin brushed steel inlay on the inside and the signature Wallee X etched into the back. Where the Dockem Koala mount felt like a flimsy piece of plastic, the Wallee M system's components feel more premium. ?

Much like the full-sized Wallee system, perhaps the most useful accessory for the Wallee M is the wall mounting disk?available in packs of two for $12.95. The soft-touch plastic disks feature a matching X and house neodymium magnets that attract the steel discs in the cases. The magnetic attraction provides a satisfying snap when the two pieces are properly aligned, and phones can be mounted in either landscape or portrait orientation. At the top of the disc is a small nub that acts as a hook to stow charging cables.

Around back you'll find the adhesive sticker, and installation is as simple as peeling off the cover and pressing firmly against your desired surface. Like with the Dockem Koala mount, the hardest part is going to be getting a level installation, but there are a number of leveling apps for your phone that can help with that. The Wallee M disks are not reusable?they don't use standard 3M adhesives like the Dockem Koala, and there are no replacement adhesives. Instead, if you flubbed the installation or want to reposition a disk, you'll have to buy another two-pack for $13.

You can multiply your mounting options by picking up the Wallee M compatible car mount and Pivot Mini desk stand. The articulating car mount will run you $34.95 and features an anodized aluminum arm and suction cup base. The Pivot Mini stand costs $24.95 and is constructed from a single piece of brushed aluminum, with a hole in the middle for cable management. Both accessories feature the same neodymium magnet found in the disk mounts. One note: The Pivot Mini isn't quite heavy enough to detach the magnetic attraction with its weight, so you'll have to use two hands to detach your smartphone.

Conclusions
The Wallee M system is not as universal as the Koala, and it costs twice as much. But there's an undeniable cool-factor with the Wallee M. With a smartphone in place, the disk mount disappears, giving the illusion that your smartphone is simply floating on a wall. It's great for hands-free use and helps keep your workspace clutter-free and organized. If you have a compatible device, the Wallee M is a really clever and well-designed system for mounting your smartphone nearly anywhere.?
